Mundane Photography Task- First Try

My first try at Mundane Photography

This didn't work as well as i'd hoped however this was my first try so i am going to create a new idea and use this as a stepping stone, i thought i'd upload it anyway to see how i progress.

Fruitman- Photoshop

During today's class we did a Photoshop tutorial. As you can see we had pictures numbered 1-9 to create the fruitman. We learnt different photoshop short cuts such as:

cmd-z = Undo

cmd-a = Select All

cmd-x = Cut

cmd-c = Copy

cmd-v = Paste

cmd-o = Open

cmd-w = Close (Mac Only)

cmd-p = Print

cmd-q = Quit

cmd -+ = Zoom in and out

cmd o = fit to window

Spacebar ( Photoshop only) = Move Around

Alt= Duplicate

Shift= Constraines, Adds.

Cntr S= Save

F= Fill Screen

I enjoy using Photoshop and learning new techniques. I need to learn more short cuts and to use them at all times.

I really enjoyed looking at some of the pieces in Manchester art gallery, they were very well presented and nice to photography. As well as black and white pieces there were really bold colourful pierces as well. One day i'd quite like to make my own piece of art to photograph, experiment with this style and different techniques. Here are some of the images i took:


Wish you were where?		by Debbie Goldsmith & Hilary Jack This was one of my favorite pieces i saw during the day, i think it has a beautiful meaning and effect, so many different wishes of different people and each card tells a story of one persons life.

After going to the museum i can rule out this type of photography even though i found these two particular pieces interesting, i wasn't really intrigued by football photography, It isn't an interest i have in everyday life and i don't think i would have an interest in photographing it.

Photography In Manchester

On Friday we went into the City Of Manchester to take some shots, and get some ideas of what we would like to do for our project. We went into Urbis and The Manchester Art Gallery as well as just going around taking photographs of what we find interesting. From this i think i quite enjoy taking landscape shots, I found this whilst doing another bit of research and think i may do this for this project coming up.
