Abstract Images

Abstract images- Third try

I created these abstract images by using the Tv setting on my camera and shot them at a 1/4 shutter speed.

Ferrari; I think i got the outcome i was aiming for with this image, as well as being colorful you can see i have achieved an example of a abstract image which is appealing to the eye.

Superbike, Vision Express; This is my final outcome from experimenting with abstract images, i feel it has come out well and i have combined the necessary components for this image to be more creative and colourful.

I think this would be my best shot, as i think the background and colour's in the image create a natural yet strong effect on the image.

Abstract Images

Abstract Images:

To create these adstact images i used the Tv setting on my camera and shot them at with 1/4 shutter speed.

First try at creating a Abstract Image:
I think even though i used quite a basic idea for these images for my first go i feel they came out well, for the first image i used a circular motion to creat the swirl affect on the branches. Where as for the second image i just moved the camera up to lengthen the branches. On my second go i will try use a more colourful setting, and also try this with lighting to create different types of image in which i can compaire.

Second try at creating Abstract Images:

I like this image as it is so colourful, however i feel i could have captured it better.
I like the effect that was created this with one,  although it would have a better effect it the colouring was brighter.
I feel these two images did achieve what i was aiming for with colour, however i think i need to combine the two now and to keep the colour but still try to take more creative images.

Examples of short depth of field

My examples of short depth of field:

Breezer; I feel this imagine of short depth of field could be stronger if there were a more colourful background.
Flowers; I like how this one has been capured as the colours are really bold and the the string in the background has given a nice blured effect.
Glasses; This was one of my first goes at short depth of field, i think the reflection in the lense gives a good effect to the image, i would like to try this again in different ways.
Flowers 2; Also in this imagine i think i could have given i better image background with using colour, however i like how you can see all the texture on the rose bud on this image.

Cats; I think this has shown good depth of field, however i think the image could be stronger with a better background.

From my experience with working within short depth of field, I feel i have grasped the technique quite well, and enjoyed working in this area. However, i can see from my images i need to be more creative with what backgrounds and area's i work in, i think my images could be a lot stronger if i used more colour and interesting areas. When i am next doing this style of work, i will focus on these areas and work to improve on them.

Definitions of Location Photography

The area i am mainly interested in working in over the next few week would be live photography, There are many different aspects in this area which i find interesting. You can take still life photos of the musicians everyday life, aswell as taking the live photography shots, from this they can be encorporated into documentarys and interviews. From these different styles you can express the musicians personality and traints though the photographys you take, learning and gaining from each individual.
